It was a gorgeous Sunday mid-morning when the three of us made our way to Goodfields Eatery, a chic, light-filled restaurant in Linfield.

We had never been there before and I was excited because it was an enthusiastic foodie uncle who had set up a brunch date with us there, so you’d know that this place would be serving food that’ll please our tastebuds and tummy.

The cafe was full-house, buzzing with Sunday brunch-time chatter. We were welcomed warmly by the owner, George Karnasiotis and the staff there, and seated not long after arriving there despite the queue. Service was warm and friendly. Plus, we did not have to wait long (10-15 mins) for our 2 bacon & egg rolls, 1 french toast and 1 blueberry muffin, 2 chai lattes and espresso.

I’d ordered the french toast, which comprised of brioche bread, glazed sour cherries, chocolate ganache, candied pecans, mascarpone cheese.

The unison of tangy and generous portion of sour cherries, soft warm bread, just a touch crusty where it needs to be, combined with all the complementing gems on the plate orchestrated a delicious melody that made my mouth sing.

Definitely will be back for more!!
